Welcome to the Vancouver Island Trail Running Series: Season Finale! We’re back Qualicum Bay for our fast and furious final race of the season, followed by our finale banquet dinner and awards evening!
**Please note, race start times are later than our other races.**
Lighthouse Community Centre, Qualicum Bay, BC

KIDS RACE - 11:30 AM
- ~1k
- Registration fees for the kid’s race go towards the Lighthouse Community Centre.
LONG COURSE - 11:30 AM
- ~25k
- 345m Vertical Gain
- 3 Aid Stations at 6.7km, 13.2km and 18.2km.
- CUTOFF TIMES:
- 6.7km at 12:30pm (60 minutes). At the first aid station. (McColl Road)
- 13.2km at 1:30pm (2 hours). At the second aid station. (McColl FSR)
- 18.2km at 2:15pm (2 hours 45 minutes). At the third aid station (Dale’s)
SHORT COURSE - 11:30 AM
- ~11k
- 135m Vertical Gain
- 1 Aid Station at 5.8km.
PARKING
There is ample parking at the Lighthouse Community Hall. Please follow the directions of our parking volunteers. Carpool if you can, save space on parking, save fuel, and hang out with your trail running friends!
BIB PICK UP
You are required to show a government-issued photo ID to get your race bib – No exceptions. Passport, driver’s licence, hunting licence, etc. all work!
Pick up your bib from inside the community centre.
**Note, this race starts later than our other races**:
- Long Course participants: 9:00am – 11:15am.
- Short Course participants: 9:00am – 11:45am.
- Kids Race: 9:00am – 11:00am.
AID STATIONS
There is one aid station for the short course and three for the long course. We’ll have water, Gatorade, fruit, chips, pickles, and our usual spread of snacks.
Our events are cupless! Please bring something to drink from! (or purchase a cup from the Frontrunners merch tent!)
FINISH LINE
Join us for some post-race snacks in the community hall. Draw prizes for this race will be part of our banquet dinner party where we’ll be hosting our series points awards, and a delicious buffet dinner. Banquet tickets are sold separately and are available to buy 2 weeks before the race.
